Thanks for your support of the Liturgy Letter Newsletter over the course of the last seven months! The Christian New Year is only a few weeks away and I continue to be grateful for these rhythms of life, prayer and formation.

I am taking some time off over the next few days, so this week's newsletter is an abbreviated version. You can expect a full version next week. In the mean time, I highly recommend ordering the Christian Seasons Calendar in time for the First Week of Advent. My family and I have found this art filled resource to be an exellent catalyst for orienting life around Jesus and the "world's true story."

Lastly, if you haven't already, please consider supporting this endeavour. Become a patron of the Liturgy Letter on Patreon--an on-going crowd funding service where you can commit to as little as $1 a month or set a maximum limit. Thank you for your support!

The Faithfulness of God and the Promise of New Creation
We look toward Christ's second coming (Mal 4:1-2a), and with all creation, we sing praises to God for his marvelous works (Ps 98). In anticipation of his second coming, we work hard and look for the good that we might do (2 Thess 3:6-13), knowing that God will protect and care for us (Lk 21:5-19).

Psalm of the Week
Scripture Readings

 Sing to the Lord a new song,
    for he has done marvelous things;
his right hand and his holy arm
    have worked salvation for him.
 The Lord has made his salvation known
    and revealed his righteousness to the nations.

 He has remembered his love
    and his faithfulness to Israel;
all the ends of the earth have seen
    the salvation of our God.

 Shout for joy to the Lord, all the earth, burst into jubilant song with music...

Blessed Lord, who caused all holy Scriptures to be written for our learning: Grant us so to hear them, read, mark, learn, and inwardly digest them, that we may embrace and ever hold fast the blessed hope of everlasting life, which you have given us in our Savior Jesus Christ; who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, for ever and ever. Amen.  -from The Book of Common Prayer
